A Real Entry

First off, I'd like to make a request. Please Please PLEASE buy me tickets to Staind's concert on August 27th in Milwaukee. Their new album is being released on August 9th. I've heard the new single "Right Here" and it's fucking awesome. I saw them live in Feb of 2004 with Dusty and would KILL to see them again. I know I said I would die happy if I saw them in concert once, but now I will die ULTRHAPPY if I see them a second time.

My ultra long holiday weekend alot of fun. At first I was a bit peeved because...well it used to be my favorite time to party and get ripped up with friends. I was bummed, but then decided to make the best of my time. I ended up going on numerous poker runs. Dusty actually won the poker run on thursday night! He then proceded to spend half the money buying everyone in the bar a drink or five.

I got to watch the Wakefield fireworks for the first time in my life. For some reason, I've never watched them before. They were much better than I figured them to be. Bessemer's were better, but not by much. Both towns put on impressive shows. We missed Ramsay's fireworks, but I heard they were pretty good.

We got to visit with Tim and Jen and then Jon mysteriously showed up for the 4th! It was quite a surprise. I ended up only spending $20 all freaking weekend and that was with buying Dusty a few drinks! I don't miss how much money I used to spend on beer.

The only bad weather we had was literally when the parade started, the rain began. Luckily I have a thrifty dad who told me, "Julie, you never know when you might need a tarp in your trunk...or a shovel, flashlight, rope, bricks, sunflower seed, linseed oil..." As you can see by the below pictures, Jen, Katie, and I stayed somewhat dry underneath the tarp for the most part.

Now Dusty and I are back in Marquette. My job search is continuing with no new news today. I applied for two more jobs in Green Bay today. Now it's just a waiting game. Oh, how I hate to wait. I'm one of the most impatient people you will ever meet. Speaking of jobs, congratulations to JJ for getting the job he wanted!!! Now I need a job. JJ, send your good job vibes this way.

Thanks Julie!!! You will get something. Take another trip down there and search again. It worked for Tim and I know it can work for you too. You and Dusty will be there by years end. I can feel it!!!

Yeah, I've been contemplating a trip down there to search. I'm hoping I'm there by the end of summer and Dusty is able to move when he is done with school. :)
