Frustration is my new name
Frustration should be my new first name. I've applied for so many jobs that my head is beginning to spin. One of them has to work out, it HAS to. Pretty soon I'll get so frustrated that I'm going to drive to one of the places I applied to, tear out a limb, and hold the hiring executive at bloody-stump-limb-point until they give me a job. And some health insurance so I can resew my bloody stump back on.
Sometimes I feel like a complete moron for quitting my last job--until I think about how much I absolutely hated it. There wasn't a single good thing about that job. I'm not sure why I even accepted it in the first place. Stupid me.
It's been excruciatingly hot these past couple days. I've spent my time as a pile of sweating flesh stationed on the couch who does nothing more than consume diet soda by the case and eat salted cashews. What an exciting life I lead.
Tom and Katie were up here on friday night. That was pretty cool. It was the first time we have had company over at this new place! They were quite impressed with the array of wonderful olive green items (bathtub, toilet, kitchen sink) and the lack of enough hot water to take a decent shower.
We took a hike to the Dead River Falls as seen in the photos. That was quite a treck. At first impression I thought it was a small hill, but by time we got to the top my legs were burning. I then proceded to get pretty freaked out while clinging to the side of a steep hill for fear of tumbling to the bottom. I'm a scaredy cat sometimes.
Even though JJ says I should read picture books, I'm now working on The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. I didn't understand the ending of the movie, so I'm trying to read the book. It's very dry, I hope I can even finish it.
