Weekend in Milwaukee
The interview went so-so. It wasn't horrid, but it wasn't great either. The campus is very nice--large!--but nice. I liked the community around the campus and the fact that it was only a couple blocks from the lake. The job still seems perfect and my possible future bosses were very nice and fun. I'm supposed to get a phone call sometime today. Cross your fingers for me, I need it.
The motel we stayed at was right downtown Milwaukee. I was a bit scared (completely petrified) at first because we got there late at night, accidently took a wrong exit into the wrong part of town, and then couldn't find parking. I was a bit shook up and nervous. I'll fully admit that I can't drive worth shit in a city and get nervous driving on a freeway. What can I say, I was born and raised in a small town. It'll take alot of getting used to. Props to Dusty for putting up with me, especially after I was shrieking "I wanna go hoooooooome!"
We had dinner here. It was really cool. We know the password to get in because we are secret spies. We did alot of exploring around town and the surrounding areas, it's not as scary in the daylight. I'm such a wussy-girl.
On saturday we helped Tim and Jen move into their new digs. They found a fabulous new place that I am completely jealous of. We spent the night and on sunday of course we had to go to Best Buy and Barnes and Noble. We couldn't make a trip without visiting those two stores.
Now I sit here waiting. Impatiently. Trying to read, do errands, write, clean the apartment, anything to keep my busy. It's not working. Why won't they just call? Please? *sends brain waves*
