Books, Books, and More Books
I just finished Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, the same author who wrote The Da Vinci Code. Though I enjoyed Angels and Demons, in no way did it stack up to The Da Vinci Code. The form and content of the books were almost identical. The way the book started, formed, and ended was the same. They were about somewhat different topics, but the main story line followed the same pattern. It wasn't half as explosive as The Da Vinci Code. I am looking forward to his next novel. Just a random statistic, did you know that Dan Brown made $76.5 million dollars in 2005 and was ranked #12 in the Celebrity 100 Top Earners according to Forbes? Damn, I wish I was as brilliant as him and could make that much money writing books.
I'm now reading Foxfire by Joyce Carol Oates. There was a movie made in the 90's after this book with Angelina Jolie in it. She's hot. I'd do her. HA! The movie itself was pretty good, although the book is based in the 1950's and the movie is based in the 1990's.
My book collection is now at 293 books. I only need 7 more to go to meet my goal of 300 books by this summer. Anyone up for helping me meet my goal? I'm trying to persuade my dad to build one of those bookcases with a rolling ladder. That would be super sweet. I would be 100% geek once I got that bookcase.
