Damn Fatty-Bagel-Eaters
The first day went well and was pretty uneventful. I got to meet the other partners and get my new desk. I also got to learn that databases are the coolest things ever created. Seriously, these people are completely amazed at how a database works and how it "stores everything!!" I tried to not look at them like they were fools. I really tried. After that awesome database learning experience, I got to learn how to work Microsoft Outlook and how it has this totally rad calendar thingy. Wow, holy shit! A computer that has a fucking calendar! Needless to say, I was blown away. *note sarcasm*
So I went home monday night feeling like I may have possibly chosen the wrong job. Forward to tuesday. Our company had several executives fly up in our company's own jet and hold seminars all day at the Ramada. I got to meet all of the other partners in the U.P. along some really important people from downstate. All of a sudden, I feel really fucking important. On top of that,
I think I am going to love my job. How many other people can say that? There is another new guy starting in the Sault and we are referred to as the "new wave" of financial planners. They have alot of faith in us young-uns.
Only one bad thing happened during the seminar. I HAD to eat Border Grill. I mean, I just had no choice, right? It put such a strain on me to eat at one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Well, except that all of the food is so incredibly bad for a person that I'm not supposed to eat it. I guess two bad things happened. They also purchased 3 dozen bagels and donuts and put them on the table in front of me along with cream cheese and non-diet soda. I'll feel like an ass, but I have to make sure that the next time they order something, there is at least one whole wheat bagel in that mix. I'm a fucking partner. Sheesh. I need food, too.
