Spring Dirty-ness

I hate the way spring looks, especially in a town. Everything is covered in a light brown film of grime. Mud is tracked everywhere from cars and on living room carpets. The melting snow begins to expose bits of garbage that the snow previously covered. Salt covers every single car that drives past. The lack of snow makes trees and shrubs look more spinely and dead. Spring seems to be more of an exposing of dead ugly things than the growth of new plants and grass.

I did nothing except go out to eat for St. Patrick's Day with Dusty. I don't really remember much of the past couple St. Patty Days, however I do remember that nasty horrendous foul looking green beer I consumed by the pitcher-full. Last year at this time JJ and Tim were up in Marquette boozing it up quite heavily. Hey guys, when are you all coming up here again? Who cares about work and school and all that garbage? I kid, I kid.

I should be starting part-time at my new job any time now. All of the materials for studying for my Series 7 Stockbroker Examination were mailed to my office a couple days ago. I should find out next week when exactly I start. They are paying me to come in and study for the exam and learn the inner-workings of the office. I'm looking forward to starting because I feel like I'm going nuts with boredom.
