Diet Doesn't Equal Bad All The Time
Whoever said that all sugar-free or fat-free food items taste like ass was wrong. Indeed, I have come across a few things that just don't taste right. The items that should never be consumed if they are sugar-free or fat free are:
*sugar-free cookies (unless of course you enjoy chewing on cardboard)
*fat free salad dressing (it tastes like nothing except a slight tinge of bitterness)
*fat free cheeses (absolutely tasteless)
*fat free turkey bacon (if you're going to go with turkey bacon, get the fattier stuff because it is only 3 grams of fat vs. 1.5 grams; the fattier stuff tastes way better)
*sugar-free M&M's (unless you want to spend the rest of your day laying in bed with the most horrendous stomach ache int he world)
The good stuff:
*sugar-free syrup (gets rid of the almost disgusting sweetness of regular syrup but still tastes like syrup)
*low fat magarine (you'll never notice the difference)
*reduced fat cheeses (they taste just as good as regular fat cheeses minus the bad fats)
*diet soda (so much better than regular soda, I'd gag if I had to drink regular stuff soaked in sugars)
*reduced fat salad dressings (wayyy better!)
*fat free skim milk
*fat free refried beans
*extra lean burger or turkey burger for that matter (it grosses me out to think of that fatty burger I used to eat that that fills up half a can of grease from 1 lb of meat)
*sugar free fat free puddings (they taste exactly the same!)
*sugar free jello (why eat all that sugar if you don't have to)
*whole wheat products (I've always loved wheat, so this is great)
I'm sure there are alot more foods that I am skipping. I realize that this diet isn't made for everyone and not everyone needs to care about what they eat like I have to. Yet making just a few modifications in a diet can help so much. My mom changed her margarine, cheeses, and meats (the fat contents) and has lost 15 pounds from just doing that. It's pretty crazy.
My weekend has been pretty nice and low-key. I haven't done much of anything. My parents were up today to check out the house that I want to buy. My mom really liked it but my dad was able to find each and every imperfection it had. I suppose that's his job though. Being a dad means making sure that your kids get the best of everything. Haha, too bad that isn't possible.
My pick for the winner of the NCAA tournament is already out. So it is now my goal to become the "biggest loser" of our tournament pool. The way it's looking, I may achieve my goal. It's been fun rooting for teams that I have never seen play a single game of basketball in my entire life. Hell, I haven't even heard of half the teams in my life.

Skim milk is bad!!! At least to me. I cant stand the stuff. Milk has to have something to it. Instead of using skim on my cereal in the mornings, I would just use water instead. No taste for either and water is cheaper. But yes, I will agree. Fat free cheese might just be the worst. Ever!
12:10 AMSee I'm exactly the opposite, I was forced to drink whole milk my entire life until I was able to buy my own. Now anything that tastes remotely like whole milk makes me gag. But yes, fat free cheese is fricking disgusting!
