A House??
Another weekend has come and gone. The days pass by so quickly now and I'm not sure why. I'm not really that busy for the most part and I don't have any huge plans that I am waiting for in the future. Dusty and I stayed in Marquette and relaxed for the most part.
We went to our landlord in hopes of finding a nicer place to rent beginning May 31st. I'm done with college now and can afford a nicer, larger place so I want one. Instead of finding a place to rent, we were recommended to look into purchasing a house. I looked into the current mortgage rates here in Marquette and then compared them to what we would pay in rent per month. It ends up that I will save money buying a house versus renting one. I'll be saving quite a huge chunk of money.
I'm not sure if I can actually get a mortgage right now, but I'm going to look into the option. I've found two houses that I am quite interested in and are in my price range. I'm going to call the realtor tomorrow to set up viewing times. Oddly enough, it is the same realtor that I rented from for two years at my last apartment. I'm hoping that my good past with them will help me out. *crosses fingers* There is also a U.P. Mortgage company that gives loans and mortgages to people just starting out and buying their first home or vehicles. Hmmm....*scratches chin*
Other than that I studied for my history exam all weekend. I was telling Dusty last night that I think it was the first time I have EVER studied on a saturday night in my life. It's pretty nice studying early like this because now I'm not cramming on a sunday night. In fact, I really don't have to study anymore tonight because I already know all of the material.
We watched "Goodfellas" last night. Why has no one told me to watch that movie earlier? It was fantastic. I loved it. It's up there with Scarface and Blow on my list of favorite "gangster" movies.
Fuck this is so boring I'm falling asleep while trying to write it. I need a life.
