Flabbergasteration of the Boring College Girl Librarian
Holy schnikes, I'm flabbergasted!!! NMU is actually going to work WITH me on this situation and are trying to remove the deferment fee as we speak. *WHEW!* Big sigh of relief there. I had this huge e-mail composed and ready to be sent to the Student Service Center, Dean of Students, Financial Aid Office, and the President of NMU's office. That would NOT have been pretty.
Last night I recieved an apology e-mail from the Financial Aid Office in which they claimed full responsibility for everything that happened. I'm so relieved that this happened. It looks as though they are working full speed on my financial aid package as we speak. YAY!!!!!
Well I only have 2 days of work left. These last days have been so slow that I feel like I'm there for 10 hours instead of 4 hours. I wish I could bring a book or a journal so that I could write or read as I sit there wasting time.
I'm reading another book that Dusty found at St. Vincent's. I bought Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb when I was down in Green Bay. I read both immediately and they were really good. Yesterday Dusty found I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb, which was recommended to me by many of my faithful readers of my other diary. I can't wait to read it!
I sure have gotten boring, haven't I? All this garbage about financial aid and reading books. I sound more like a librarian with money problems than a college girl who drinks too much.
